Last week we linked to HyperNeRFs,h an AI driven approach to create a 3D representation from a few pictures using a simple smartphone.

This technique looks promising, but someone found out that the technique behind these HyperNeRFs can skip AI all together and use classical numerical integration.

They called this technique plenoxels.

Apparently creating a 3D representation now takes 10 minutes instead of 10 days.
